Victory in Jesus

I just added this song from Travis C's new CD to my iPod and it brings
the sweetness of worship that I experienced growing up and
attending church with my grandmother.

Songs, scriptures, and the written words can light up your day with sweet memories.

New memories are always a treat, but there is something about
being a young girl and remembering those words "Victory in Jesus"
that is truly heart warming. Just a thought~

I Needed That!!

I finally was able to change my blog background and
I was really ready for something new! Enjoy the spring &
summer feel.

Just some thoughts

Does anyone just have a hard time memorizing our verses?
Just when I think its going good, I end up saying a memory verse
which is actually 2 different verses! Really gotta get those down!

Yesterday, I was looking at this old rose bush that we transplanted
from my parents home before selling the property. This bush has
been broken, frozen, attacked by white flies, hit by the lawnmower,
yet yesterday one of the deepest red roses I have seen is sitting in
splendor on that bush!

I think that's how God must see us at times, going through life
with all its ups and downs and then we read scripture, hear a message,
fill our hearts and their we are sitting on top basking in Gods goodness.

Oh its not perfect this life, but today I am savoring my beautiful Rose
which has endured so much over the past years and thanking God
he has not allowed me to wither away during the hard times.
He trusts me to find the right balance with my children &
grandchildren so we can all grow together.

This Easter will be remembered beyond last Sunday. In fact
I think I will experience it each day as I look at my dyed pink and
blue fingers!!! Never use food coloring without the proper tools!!!

I so enjoyed sharing the fun with my grandchildren ages 6 & 8 and
it took me back to times of fun with my own children as they grew up.

Easter was always special, a new dawn, a renewal of my Love
for God and a reminder of his Love for us.

We never had an Easter without Christ being the focus, our Easter Lily story,
family gatherings, the beautiful service at church, & the joy of eating
Chocolates & various goodies!

I pray for those to see beyond the baskets, and bunnies and see His glory.

I love Easter & the Hope it gives us daily!

Through a child's eyes

I marvel at my grandson Joseph age 6. He says that
he can hardly wait until summer because he can collect
more bugs and swim~

I think of the simple pleasures he
enjoys, and how we can enjoy those same
pleasures in "Gods" word through out the seasons.
The word is full of delights.

The Seasons

I am so looking forward to Spring~
I love to plant new flowers and watch
as they unfold and bloom.

It reminds me of how God
tends to us and gives us the
strength we need to grow.

I can't think of a better way to start the new year than to join the "Siesta's scripture memory group. I love re-discovering my favorite scriptures and taking them to heart all over again.
